We have a beta version of the REST API for interested developers. A good familiarity with XML and HTTP services are required to use this API. If you would like more information please contact us.
Our simple API uses our bookmarklet and HTTP GET to make adding new entries very easy. The URI looks like ...
http://www.jeteye.com/post?t=Sample+Title&u=http://www.jeteye.com
t is a urlencoded title
u is a urlencoded URL.
Optional ...
s is a urlencoded text string that can be used as a description for the URI or a note entry. Since this is performed via HTTP GET, this will be limited by the current character limit on GET operations.
For more information, please contact us.
Jeteye is looking for talented developers who want to assist in taking Jeteye to the next level.
We are operating on a shoestring budget, so while we can pay a little, it's not much - but we can offer you a place to show off your skills, an active, viable project for your resume, and a place to learn some new tricks.
You should be very good with PHP/MySQL/XML/Subversion, have an interest in Memcache and Amazon S3 and have a good understanding of Javascript and/or Javascript frameworks (i.e. Prototype), AJAX, REST, security principles, Web 2.0 principles and jargon. A bonus would be someone who knows .NET (for our IE sidebar), has done some work with Firefox Extensions (for our FF sidebar), has experience developing Facebook applications or wants to explore an iPhone Application.
Contact us if you would like to join the Jeteye Development Team or would like more information. References will be appreciated. An mutual NDA will be required.
