Summary: There appears to be a major conflict brewing between two sectors of the internet advertising realm. A new report suggests that publishers are producing an excess amount of inventory which results in a devaluing of their traffic. This comes as a surprise considering that ad networks generally approve of having an overabundance of content. Because of the fact that many internet users have that instant gratification drive for fresh content, having a large amount of material would ideally be beneficial to the ad networks. However, publishers are now seeking to conduct business privately. The CPM’s the publishers can charge when selling their own inventory directly are generally greater than those secured through ad networks. Traffiq allows these publishers to conduct business directly with advertisers of their choosing in hopes of increasing their revenue. This works to the benefit of both the publishers and the advertisers. While Traffiq provides publishers with the opportunity to maximize their revenue, advertisers are given the opportunity to secure rare inventory. Although there is some possible conflict between ad networks and web publishers, Traffiq is the liaison that will strengthen the relationship between the two, both professionally and financially.
