I found this you can see the date(s) on the items in my jetpack
SHOCKWAVE FLASH for LINUX
What this means is linux users who are web developers this will be a HUGE deal.
There has been NO support for linux as far as creating .swf files. The developers
who try to do everything in Linux always had to get to a M$ machine to
add/edit/create/customize any MACROMEDIA SHOCKWAVE FLASH
which is now (I just today found this out) owned by Adobe !
YES that is right, go to http://www.macromedia.com/ and see where you end up =)
Ok so I would hope to start a text file here with some GOALS for this project
which is going to be mainly for people that are intersted in web develepment
and use Linux and see what clients(editors) or with Linux web-devs they tend to
use a text editor for web site creation, so all we need is the proper way to do
SHOCKWAVE FLASH NOW. You call the .swf file that you created.
I want people to do it on Linux and report back here with any
good links, andshow us some swf created in linux, discover new applications that may make it easier to create these, lot's of things are going to happen now that the code has been open sourced.
I am looking forward to this jetpack growing quickly.
Later,
Don (dtanner)
