What is the goal of design? For Moran, design artifacts that become
suitably and intimately enmeshed in people's lives. Fundamentally, it's
"a humble field" - not about producing objects of admiration. We can think about 4 facets: Usefulness; Reliability; Usability; Delight. These can be correlated with Vitruvius. Usefulness is the hardest and most important - perhaps we've short-changed it?
