Summary: Islands of Pern (IoP) is a by-invitation-only play by email, fantasy/fiction, writing club set in the world of Anne McCaffrey's Pern. Members create characters that live in the world of Pern and write stories for these characters. When the stories are complete they send these stories to email mailing lists which then send the stories out to all the other members within the club. Members may also co-author stories with each other so that characters interact with one another to create the living, breathing world that is Anne McCaffrey's Pern.
