Summary: Cast, credits, reviews, etc. Nice.
As to the movie, it is not only subpar (albeit with superb acting) for a Kubrick flick, but does little justice to the genius of Nabokov's novel (as one would expect only Kubrick could do).
Vladimir Nabokov's ground-breakingly brave, brilliant and certainly controversial novel took less time to draw critical acclaim than to get published. Within the four years following the American publication of Lolita, Kubrick had made the movie, mostly ignoring the adapted screenplay he paid Nabokov to write for the purpose.
