Bulgarian Base to Host US-Led Military Drill

A Bulgarian shooting range at Novo Selo will host an international military drill in the summer, it emerged on Wednesday.
US Ambassador John R. Beyrle neither denied, or confirmed the report, which says the drill will bring forces of Bulgaria, Romania, and the US. He only stated talks are still focusing on details.
During a press conference in Sliven, the Bulgarian-speaking US diplomat announced negotiations are still under way on the type of planes and equipment to be deployed to Bulgarian bases.
Sofia and Washington have reached an agreement on two bases in Bulgaria - one at Bezmer airfield and the other at Novo Selo shooting range.
Reports emerged on deployment to a third base, probably an airfield at Graf Ignitievo.
